Thanks to years of playing softball in my younger years, three tailbone injuries, and three car accidents I have a TON of arthritis, nerve, and soft tissue issues in my knees, hips, and neck. I have tried practically every Rx pill, natural remedies, and rub on the market. So many different rubs over the years that our grown daughter recently stated that the familiar smell from childhood that reminds her of me is smelly muscle rubs. Ugh. Not my chocolate chip cookies, not my favorite perfume, not her favorite meal, but stinky muscle rubs. LOL Anyway, I started having the worst pain I've ever had last spring. Something went really haywire in my thigh and ended up radiating up and around my whole thigh. It throbbed all the time and felt like it was going to snap when I stood up. I was down, up, down, up...couldn't travel very far without ending up in tears. Stood like a flamingo with my leg against a wall if I even happened to feel good enough to make it to church. Went to the doc. No fractures, no lipoma. So she swears it was just my arthritis finally radiating into my thigh (which I still am not sure I believe). My gut is so screwed up from so many steroids, Rx pain meds, and OTC NSAIDS over the last twenty years that I can't even take them anymore. So she said take 500 mg Tylenol as needed. Yeah, right. Wouldn't even touch it. Totally useless. Missed volunteering a lot at church November and December due to the pain. A sweet, sweet man that knew how badly I was hurting told my hubby to tell me to try the Blue Emu. His father-in-law had told him about it recently because it worked so well for him that he was dancing again. And the guy who told my hubby had been using it on his knees and hands. He had gone from using a cane and hobbling around to being able to jog. I have to admit I was VERY skeptical because I have used so many things over the years. And, it was expensive at the drug store. But, I was totally desperate for even just a tiny bit of relief. He had told my hubby to make sure I was very consistent with using it several times a day for the first couple of weeks. So, since it was practically my whole thigh I went through three small jars really quickly. I was thinking towards the end of week two that it wasn't working, so I started applying it three times a day and did it for a third week. At the end of that extra week, the pain and throbbing that had pretty much put the brakes on everything in my life since 4/15 had gone from off the charts down to a 2 or 3 most days. I was able to sleep through the night again, stand to cook, do dishes, hand out the talk notes at church, play with our six grandkids, run errands and go shopping without having to leave and hobble home, travel a couple of hours away to visit relatives without ending up in tears. I was completely AMAZED and SO grateful that he cared enough to share and that something FINALLY worked. Now, I am faithful to use it at least once a day after my shower and unless we are doing something really hard on it (like pulling the carpet out of our master bedroom and scraping/scrubbing the concrete floor) I am doing pretty darn well. I would NEVER have thought I would get that much relief out of an OTC cream. NEVER. Now we both use it on all of our aches and pains. Our necks, backs, my hips and hands, as a moisturizer for dry skin, and we have some break outs on our scalps that it helps more than anything that our doc has prescribed in the past. What we love most about it is the major pain relief, but the fact that it has NO smell and rubs completely in is a VERY close second! Now our grandkids won't have the same familiar smell memory as our daughter!! LOL
