I bought this hot sauce on the advice of an awesomesauce friend of mine in Australia. I was a bit worried that this was going to end up being one of those American-type "burn your face off for the sake of burning your face off because you're overcompensating for something" hot sauces, but it is certainly not that.This sauce is far more sinister.This sauce lulls you in and gives you a very false sense of security at first, with nothing more than the taste of worcestershire sauce. The first thought you will have is, "that's it?" Feeling cheated, and like the Aussies have no idea what they're doing with hot sauce, you'll add a little more to your food. The extra concentration will further deceive you with the delightful notes of citrus from the OJ, along with a subtle hint of some heat, which you will have tasted for the first time since starting to eat this on your food. Feeling like you can really get into this sauce, you'll add even more to bring out the citrusy, sweet, smoky goodness of your meat, and you'll be wowed by how well this ties in with your food.Then, about 60 seconds later, as the calcium channel finally opens in your taste buds, allowing the torrent of calcium cations to begin to depolarize your nerve endings, they cry out. It is as if millions of voices suddenly cry out in terror, and are suddenly silenced, by the overwhelming blackout of pain that overcomes you. You will not remember the 3-4 minutes that is required for you to come back to this side, but you will remember the following 5-10 minutes of dwell time that will have you hoping for a quick death. As the disappointment sets in that there is none forthcoming, you resign yourself to burying your face in a tub of ice cream until you can remember your own name again.And I'd do it again in a second, because this is the best awesomesauce I have ever had in my entire life, bar none.
