Customers find this coffee to be an excellent dark roast with good flavor and value for money. The strength receives mixed feedback, with some describing it as Forte while others note it's not suitable for espresso. The grind quality is also mixed, with one customer noting it's too coarse for espresso use.

Recent User Experience

A few years ago, I was in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and found this sold in the can. I took a "flyer" on it. Loved it! I was carrying around my Moka pot and this coffee brewed up a real shot in the shorts--very bold, intense flavor. You really have to love very strong espresso--as I love when in Italy--and this does the trick. So, "strong"--what do I mean? The same measure of this coffee, compared to the same measure of the many other coffees I've bought in the USA, yields different results. This has a much bolder taste. If I weren't using this, I would be using Bustello Supremo. The price of this, however, is quite a bit more than I paid in New Mexico--a couple years ago. I've not been able to find the Café Caribe outside of New Mexico and finally just said, "Go for it." I will buy it again online, unless I should be passing through someplace, like New Mexico, and find it on shelves at a great price.
