I fell in love with Longjing 25 years ago. I've been lucky enough to taste at least 50, from tea farms to independent tea stores that purchase direct from the source. Price can fluctuate and while not always an indicator of quality, you generally get what you pay for. Every now and then you get lucky and find the real deal at an affordable price. This is ONE example. The fuzzy down on the inside of the package is an indicator, depth of green color another, nice full leaf on each stem after brewing is proof of careful harvesting and roasting. But brewing and tasting are everything. Wonderful aroma of fresh flowers and warm bread. The flavor a combination of chestnut, spring beans, and a mild sweetness The mouthfeel, buttery!
