If you have never tried Tonkatsu sauce you are missing out on a wonderful thing. Developed in Japan as a catch all sauce for fried meats and fish, Tonkatsu sauce became as iconic as Ketchup in the west. There are many companies with global fan bases that really do vary depending on your personal preferences, but I try and sample them all. Kikkoman is my go to for soy sauce, and occasionally Teriyaki sauce as well. When I found the restaurant sized Tonkatsu was cheaper than a normal table size across the board of offerings it was easy to click "buy it now". So far with veggie soba (noodles) its been great, an expected blend of flavors which adds dimension as opposed to cover up of a dish (I would recommend to new users to start with less and then decide how much is best for you). Grilled chicken became wonderfully aromatic with a light bath of sauce, and I was able this weekend to get a young picky child to eat fish for the first time with some Tonkatsu sauce for dipping (his parents are singing praises for Kikkoman easing dinner time in their house now and left with almost 25% of my bottle). A terrific value for the price, and a reliable new favorite from a terrific company.
