• A delicious iced coffee drink that is loved in Thailand
• Can be modified to suit anyone's taste preferences

Thai iced coffee is a delicious iced coffee drink that is loved in Thailand as well as in the rest of the world. Like with most other iced coffee recipes, there are a few different ways a Thai iced coffee can be made. This delicious iced coffee can be modified to suit anyone taste preferences. So that you can experiment and create the type of Thai iced coffee that suits your the best. Thai coffee is brewed strong, and a filter sock is the best method. Boil the water and pour it over the sock or filter of coffee. Allow it to steep quite a while, about 10 minutes, then strain and add sugar. When this mixture is cooled, and then poured into a glass over ice cubes or crushed ice. Make certain that you leave about a half inch worth of room at the top of the glass so that you can pour in a touch of half-and-half, cream, or milk. Brewing your coffee strong in a press pot is another method. If you want to take this in a thermos, brew the coffee, let it cool then add the sugar and milk and chill about an hour or two before leaving. Pour into the thermos and you'll have a delicious drink to sip while watching the game!

Recent User Experience

Delicious. This Thai coffee has a nice chocolate taste to it with no bitterness. Just to be clear, if you are used to ordering a Vietnamese iced/hot coffee at a restaurant they are using either Cafe Du Monde coffee (yellow can) or espresso coffee. For some reason people still get confused and think the Vietnamese coffee and Thai coffee are interchangeable but they aren't, Vietnamese coffee is a very strong intense coffee brewed with a little single serve metal brewer called a Phin (sold on Amazon and in Asian stores) whereas Thai coffee is blend of coffee and sometimes one or many other ingredients which are soy beans, corn, rice, and spices which are then brewed in a cloth strainer called a tungdtom (sold on Amazon and in Asian stores) which is also used for Thai iced teas. I tend to recommend Vietnamese iced coffee to those who enjoy the taste of coffee especially strong coffee and recommend a Thai iced coffee to those who don't enjoy the taste of coffee or want more subtle coffee flavor want a caffeine, and are wanting to try something new. This Thai coffee is delicious, it keeps very well in a Ziploc. I make a big batch once a week (I add sugar to the hot coffee upon initial brewing to save time later on), make ice cubes with some of the brewed coffee so that my coffees aren't watered down, and throughout the week add evaporated milk to my glass and I'm set.
