Matcha Powdered Green Tea Tradition green tea powder is made by fresh green tea, ground under low temperature. The tea powder is rich in green tea polyphenois, catechins, chlorophyll, vitamins: C, E, B1, B2, carotene & proteins. Excellent quality and suitable to drink regularly. Matcha is a green tea powder made from the leaves of tea trees grown in the shade and then lightly steamed to prevent fermentation and loss of antioxidants. High-grade matcha is made in limited amounts , harvested only once a year in the Spring. The benefits of match green tea powder make it a healthy and tasty alternative to traditional green tea. However, our company just recently realized that there is an amazing difference in the quality of green tea. If you carefully look at most matcha green teas, they are not green, they are brown. After some research, we found that the best green tea is really bright green tea. If it isnˇt bright green, you are receiving inferior oxidized green tea which will not provide the full range of benefits youˇve heard about. All Green Teas Are Not Created Equal Matcha, a powdered green tea, comes from the same plant as black teas, but remains unfermented. It is then ground into a fine green powder so that you receive benefits from the entire tea leaf. Ever Wonder Why the Japanese Enjoy Such a Long Life Expectancy? Interestingly enough, after water, green tea happens to be the most widely consumed beverage on earth. For centuries, Matcha green tea has been kept a guarded secret. Why? The Japanese desired to keep their tea ceremony very exclusive and closed to the outside world. Plus, the people of Japan wanted to keep this scarce form of green tea with its numerous health-promoting benefits strictly to themselves. With the powerful health-supporting benefits of green tea, and even more so with Matcha, I believe that 127 million Japanese have the right idea. Wouldnˇt you agree?

edit: From $10.36 to $16.36 ($1.86 per ounce) ?! Price has gone up 60% since my last purchase a few months back. For shame.Micronutrients has a 1lb bag for $12.95 ($0.81 per ounce). The cheap stuff is perfect for smoothies.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PY3Q8XSThere are so many options available now for Matcha. When I was first starting to drinking it some 10+ years ago, I didn't easily find it. I dont recall where I bought this brand, but it was the first kind I ever bought. I had 4 bags of this size, and I stored some in the freezer. I drank quite a bit of it then forgot about it- more of this in a second. Had since enjoyed some matcha on and off, but it was more recently that I really had a real hankering for it. I always drank it hot (like, ceremonial style), and it occurred to me to drink it cold... I had been seeing more and more "matcha lattes" and other matcha flavored drinks that one day I just decided to skip the hot water, and just add it into some non dairy milk, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and an 1/8 cup of this matcha powder. Sometimes I blend it., but most often I use a shaker cup. Now it is is my go-to drink. I have 1 cup of coffee, then make up a goodly portion of cold matcha. It provides a caffeine boost without the jitters. I failed to realize I was using like 4x the amount, so I am trying to scale a bit. Funny thing is, is that my last bag of matcha which had not been opened yet had a severely expired expiration date. I didnt think I bought it that long ago, but I did. Not one to shy away from a date stamped on a bag of tea powder, I opened it up, took a sniff and found it smelled super fresh. Tasted as fresh as can be too. When I worked through this bag, I figured I better buy more soon. I did not expect to find it on Amazon, but I did and bought a bag, along with a few other brands. So many different opinions on all the different brands that I was curious about the differences.Gottta say, this one continues to be perfectly fine. I will continue to buy it. There are some nuances among the brands I bought, but they are all fine in a nearly equal way. The price point of this makes it a budget friendly repurchase. It is a product of Thailand, and I find it to be a good product. If I learn otherwise, i will let you know. The expiration date on this one is for sometime in 2023, so figure couple years from now.I find drinking green tea (matcha) daily has greatly extinguished my need for sweets
