I've been enjoying my Stevia purchase so much, I've ordered another bag for a dear friend. Stevia does have a slight aftertaste, but the health benefits and safety of it are well worth while - compared to the artificial sweeteners. No wonder the FDA fought so hard to ban Stevia when people around the world have been using it for decades! The big manufacturers won't get their zillion percent mark-up on a natural product as easily as an artificially produced one.For those who drink iced tea or another "home-made" chilled beverage - I've found a good balance using Stevia. For a gallon of iced tea I used 10-11 Stevia packets and only 1/4 cup of sugar. It's plenty sweet and considerably lower calories than the usual method of sweetening. (Adjust for your own taste of course) For example: Kool-Aid suggests 1 cup of sugar for 1 packet of Kool-Aid, added to two quarts of water (a half gallon for our non-cooking friends). That would yield a much higher calorie count, not to mention dental worries for parents. I've had other people taste my iced tea with Stevia, and they like it.Thanks for the great product - I will continue to share it with others to spread the good word!
