i'm not a real discerning taster when it comes to Chinese type sauces. For my personal tastes this sauce tasted just fine. I couldn't find any in the taste that seemed off or bad. Nothing about this sauce raised a red flag for me. It might be different for other people especially Asian people who are more familiar with what sauces should taste like.
